Alpha Academy is proud to present the Parent’s Guide to Student Achievement (PGSA) in alignment with the North Carolina Parents’ Bill of Rights (Senate Bill 49, Session Law 2023-106). This guide empowers parents with a clear understanding of their legal rights and available resources regarding their child’s education. It outlines essential areas such as academic expectations, curriculum transparency, teacher qualifications, student health requirements, and more—ensuring families are informed and actively involved in their student’s success.

At Alpha Academy, we recognize that parents are vital partners in the educational journey. The PGSA details how families can access student academic information, monitor classroom progress, participate in school programs, and support learning at home. It also highlights our commitment to personalized learning through initiatives such as Individual Reading Plans, the Katherine G. Johnson STEM Institute, Career and College Promise dual enrollment, and more. Additional information is provided about after-school enrichment, parent-teacher communication, and student support services.

This guide also reflects Alpha Academy’s broader mission to develop model citizens through academic excellence, character building, and community service. By promoting values outlined in “The Alpha Way” and embedding key skills from the NC Portrait of a Graduate, we prepare students not only for graduation but for lifelong learning and leadership. We encourage all parents to review the PGSA and reach out to the school with any questions or for printed copies. Together, we can ensure that every student reaches their full potential in a nurturing, informed, and collaborative environment.
