Good evening Alpha Academy Parents, Students, and Staff,

Please pardon the interruption on this Friday evening. We apologize for this late response concerning our summer programs. However, Reading Camp, Grades K-3, and Summer School, Grades 4-11 will begin Monday, June 7. Both programs are scheduled Monday – Friday unless otherwise instructed.

Times for Reading Camp, Grades K – 3, will be 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Students who will not be attending Summer School after Reading Camp can be picked up at 12:00 pm. Transportation will not be provided for those students leaving after the Reading Camp program. Please remember to sign your child out at the front office. Those students are who are staying for the Summer School program will be released at 3:30 pm.

Times for Summer School, Grades 4-11, will be 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. Transportation will be provided for the Summer School program and those released at 3:30 pm. Please review the school’s website for bus stop locations and times. Those parents who have chosen Virtual instruction for your child for either program will be contacted by the instructor with your child’s scheduled times. 

For all grades, K – 11, students must bring their own lunch and water bottles. K-3 students are allowed to bring a morning snack. Although uniforms will not be required, we ask that all students dress appropriately. Please view the school’s website and Facebook page for the summer dress code. As a reminder, according to the CDC, students must wear their masks at all times. 

Please note, for those who are not attending these summer programs, we will begin mailing student report cards and all remaining student awards and certificates, Wednesday, June 9. Those attending the summer programs will receive their report cards after the program has been completed. The duration of the Reading Camp and Summer School program is Monday, June 7 – Friday, July 16. Dress code for summer programs, K – 11:

No uniform is required; Students are allowed to dress in summer attire.

No ripped, torn, or holed jeans or shorts

No flip flops, slides, or “Crocs”

No tight-fitting clothes, shirts, or shorts

No short shorts

No offensive writing/logos on t-shirts/shirts

No head scarfs, hats, baseball caps, shades are to be worn in the building

 

Student cell phone rules apply during the summer program:

No student cell phone use in the school or in the class

All student cell phones are to be turned off 

If your child’s phone is confiscated, it will be returned to them at the end of the summer program.
