Good evening Alpha Academy parents, students, and staff.

Spring break begins tomorrow, Friday, April 2nd– Friday, April 9th. The school will be closed until Monday, April 12th, 7:30 am. There is no school tomorrow.

The following information we are about to share is very important. There has been a change in the student schedule after Spring Break. Previously it was stated the schedule change for grades 3-11, face-to-face and virtual, was Monday – Friday, 7:45 am – 3:00 pm. That schedule has changed to Monday – Thursday, 7:45 am – 3:00 pm. Virtual students will continue to logon at 8:00 am. Fridays will be used as testing days for virtual students.

Tuesday, April 12th, grades 3-8 face-to-face students will begin NC Check In testing. Fridays, April 16th and April 23rd will be NC Check In testing days for virtual students. Face-to-face students will be tested while they are on campus. Tuesday, April 20th is Pre-ACT for high school. You will receive additional information as we approach these dates.

If you are requesting student transportation, please visit the school website and complete the student transportation form. ALL parents who are requesting transportation are required to submit this form to receive services. Student transportation requests are reviewed on a first come first served basis and approved upon seating capacity and availability. Transportation applications from students who have received Face-to-Face instruction during the March 22, 2021 session will be considered first.

Parents, we do understand it’s Spring Break and know that everyone is excited about having this time off, but it is really important to have students read at least 30 minutes a day over the break. Reading has the power to reshape the brain, enlighten the mind, as well as strengthen the eye muscles. Students, we challenge you, read 30 minutes a day, it’s good for the brain!

Again, we thank you for your patience and cooperation during this transition, and thank you for your continued support. Have a safe and happy Spring Break. See you on Monday, April 12th!
