The Season for Gifts: Important December Updates for the Alpha Academy Family

As we move deeper into this beautiful winter season, we have several important updates and reminders to share. Please take a moment to read through this post in its entirety so you don’t miss any key information.
Upcoming Student Winter Performances
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming student showcases, both centered around the theme: “The Season for Gifts.”
Please note that performance times have been updated due to scheduling and resource availability.
Elementary School Winter Performance
Date: December 16th
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Main Auditorium
Middle and High School Winter Performance
Date: December 17th
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Main Auditorium

Afterschool Program Updates
Please review the following schedule changes for our afterschool program:

There will be no afterschool program or tutoring on Thursday, December 11th.

The afterschool program will be held on Friday, December 12th. Students in the program will have the opportunity to attend our home basketball game. Pickup will remain at the regular time.

There will be no afterschool program next week.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during this busy time of year.
Bus Rider Safety Reminder
Student safety is our top priority. All bus riders must present their student ID badge when boarding the bus before and after school.

Students without an ID badge will not be permitted to ride the bus, and parents will need to provide transportation.

Lost ID badges may be replaced for a $5.00 fee. Please contact your child’s teacher for instructions on obtaining a replacement.
Parents can track their child’s bus route using the MyRide K-12 App, which provides real-time tracking, custom alerts, route details, and instant updates. Instructions for using the app should already have been sent to families of bus riders.
Winter Donation Drives
This season, Alpha Academy is supporting three very important donation initiatives:

Alpha’s Angel Tree and Family Donation Pantry

The Jamaican Relief Drive, assisting families who have lost their homes or are in need

Donations for our honorable senior or disabled veterans
We encourage families to send in donations as soon as possible. Your generosity helps support our community in meaningful ways.
Last Day Before Winter Break
Our final school day before winter break is Friday, December 19th. This will be a half day for students, with dismissal at 11:45 AM.
