IMPORTANT SCHOOL INFORMATION
August 21, 2019
We hope that everyone is excited and off to a great start this school year! Thank you for your patience during the construction of our newest facility, and we do apologize for any inconvenience. Below is some very important information we would like to share with you:
Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Students can begin entering the building at 7:45 a.m.
Classes begin at 8:00 a.m.
NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN:
THIS TRAFFIC PATTERN WILL BE FOR BOTH MORNING AND AFTERNOON!!!
NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN- The entrance along Tractor Supply will be a “One Way” entrance into Alpha Academy. As you approach the school, there is a sign directing all traffic along the “GRAVEL ROAD” to the back of the school. This gravel road is for Pre-K-3rd grade and grades 7th through 10th ONLY. Alpha Academy staff, including SRO officers, will direct traffic in that direction. PLEASE follow their directions, to ensure the safety of our students, parents, and staff.
DROP OFF & PICK UP
7th through 10th grades will be dropped off at the rear of the building using the “Teacher’s Entrance”. This is the first set of double doors as you enter the back of the school.
Pre-K through 3rd grades will be dropped off at the gym, and will be taken into the gym to meet their teacher. ONLY IN THE MORNING! Prek-3rd Grade students will be allowed to enter the gym starting at 7:30 a.m. Staff will be in place to accommodate the student arrival. In the afternoon, Prek – 3rd grades will be brought outside to meet the parents. Parents, please do not congregate in the Kindergarten and 1st Grade entrances (breezeway), and/or 2nd Grade sidewalk (breezeway). We are asking parents to stand over between the house and the first kindergarten entrance to wait for their student. Please follow the directions of the Alpha Academy staff.
4th Grade, 5th Grade, and 6th Grade students ONLY will be dropped off AND picked up in front of the school near the main office. Traffic will proceed into the main driveway and U-turn when students are dropped off. When the buses have left the drop off point, car drivers may follow the parking area in front of the building and exit the driveway near the house.
SIBLINGS- If you have more than one child, the drop off point and pick up location will be where the youngest siblings are located.
PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
STUDENTS WALKING HOME/BICYCLE RIDERS
Students who are walking home or riding bikes to school must have a note in the office giving them permission to do so. If the student does not have a note, he/she may not be allowed to leave the campus until the parent contacts the office.
Do not park in the business parking lots (CrossFit Gym, Jersey Mike’s…), or along the side of the road near Harrell’s Automotive. These are tow-away zones, and your vehicle may be subject to be towed.
As a gentle reminder, please make all transportation arrangements before 1:00 p.m. Please do not leave transportation information on the school voice mail, and do not email it. This is information may not be received in a timely matter to inform your student. All early release students must be picked up before 3:00 p.m. No students will be released after 3:00 p.m.
Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Please adhere to these few announcements and we thank you so much for your cooperation during this transition. Have a wonderful and exciting school year!
