Important December Updates for the Alpha Academy Family

Greetings Alpha Academy Family,

As we move into a busy and exciting season, we want to ensure all families stay informed about several important updates, safety reminders, donation efforts, and upcoming student events. Please take a moment to read the following information in full.

Bus Safety Update: Student ID Badges Required

Beginning December 1st, all students who ride the bus must present their student ID badge before boarding both in the morning and after school.

This requirement is part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and accurate transportation compliance.

  • Students without their school ID will not be allowed to ride the bus.

  • Parents will be responsible for transportation if an ID is forgotten or lost.

  • ID badges are also used throughout the school year for lunches, field trips, student discounts, and other school activities.

If your child has lost their ID badge, a replacement can be purchased for $5.00. Please contact your child’s teacher for instructions on how to request a new one.

MyRide K-12 App: Track Your Child’s Bus in Real Time

A reminder to all bus riders:
Parents have the ability to track their child’s bus route using the MyRide K-12 App.

Key features include:

  • Real-time bus tracking

  • Custom alerts

  • Route and schedule information

  • Instant updates

If your child rides the bus, you should have received setup instructions. If not, please reach out to the school for assistance.

Holiday Season Donation Drives

This winter, Alpha Academy is proud to support three major donation initiatives, each designed to uplift families and individuals in need:

1. Alpha’s Angel Tree & Family Donation Pantry

Providing support for Alpha families who need assistance this holiday season.

2. Jamaican Relief Donation Drive

Collecting essential items for families in Jamaica who have lost their homes or need emergency support.

3. Veterans Holiday Spirit of Gifts Drive

Honoring senior and disabled veterans with warm essentials, recreation items, and comfort-care donations.

We appreciate every contribution and thank you for helping us spread compassion and care within our community and beyond.

School Lunch Update

We extend our sincere gratitude to our parents for stepping in with snack donations and for your patience during the unexpected closure of our food vendor.

We are pleased to announce that a new food vendor has been secured, and regular food service will resume on Monday, December 8th for the remainder of the month. We will continue to share updates as needed.
